About Me
What Drives Me?
I wake up every morning with the desire to improve the lives of people around me. I thrive in challenging situations and love creating solutions to problems. After graduating with my Bachelor's in Earth Science, I found a passion for working with youth and became a middle school teacher. I loved the mentorship aspect of working with students. During my Master’s program, I became extremely interested in instructional design and how adults learn. So, I took an Emeritus course in Instructional Design and loved it! I feel like ID is where I am meant to be.
What Can I Bring?
My experience as a teacher gives me insight into learners' minds. I am an analytical thinker and an empathetic people person. In a day's work, I can analyze data to better understand a design problem in the morning, interview a subject matter expert by lunch, create assessment questions to place learners on the optimal pathway, and design a visual mockup based on my storyboard. I am highly adaptable, can pivot quickly, and can make people smile simultaneously.
What Do I Love To Do?
I work hard and play hard. When I have free time, I love to exercise, read a good spy thriller novel, practice yoga, care for my vegetable garden, watch some episodes of ALONE, or hike in a local state park.
